Haley, Cody, and I all went to the same super small high school in the same small town. That being said, I only, officially, knew Haley before this engagement session. Haley and I were in the same grade and ate lunch together at the same table pretty much the entire four years of high school. When I think of Haley, I think or the show "Pretty Little Liars" and pickles. Why? Well, at that lunch table, for a large majority of those four years, we would discuss every episode that aired the night prior. I do mean every Wednesday. We all had our theories and, honestly, they were some of my favorite lunchtime discussions. As for pickles, Haley loved pickles where I cannot stand them. That's why I always think of her when I see pickles and vice versa. I didn't, officially, meet Cody until this session. He was in a different grade than Haley and I. I did, however, know his name from living in such a small town and going to such a small school.
Haley and Cody were another easy going couple and were up for almost any location for their engagement photoshoot. We were down to Spruce Knob in Pendleton County or Hinkle Deegan Lake in Bridgeport. Spruce Knob is the highest point in the state of West Virginia. It's absolutely stunning, you can see an anniversary session here. Haley had never been to Hinkle Deegan Lake and therefore, that's the location we went with. I'm so happy they decided on this location because it was stunning during sunset. As we were doing our session, I was getting to know Cody and getting to know the two of them as a couple. I had a blast photographing their session. I don't think I stopped laughing the entire time! As someone who has known Haley for a good majority of her life, I've honestly never seen her happier. These two have the kind of magnetic, happy love that can only make you smile. I feel honored to have photographed their engagement session and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
